This privacy and cookies policy describes what we do with personal data and how cookies work in our website https://www.geekipodrozniki.pl, further referred to as Website.

Data administrators are Magdalena Czatrowska and Przemysław Czatrowski, further referred to as Administrators.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Newsletter

You can hand on to us your personal data, i.e. name and e-mail address via our newsletter subscribe form.

We collect that data in order to send newsletters and send information about our blog products, if you agreed to that by checking proper checkbox when filling our subscribe form.

We guarantee confidentiality of personal data storage and we inform that we do not transfer any personal data to third-party companies.

Personal data is collected with due diligence and protected against access by unauthorized persons.

At any time you have:

  • the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, deletion or limitation of its processing,
  • the right to object to the processing of your personal data,
  • the right to transfer data,
  • the right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data for a specific purpose, if the User previously gave such consent,
  • the right to file a complaint to the supervisory body in relation to the processing of personal data by the Administrator

We hereby inform that the personal data provided to us as part of the subscription form for the newsletter is transferred to the United States by being stored in a database located on a server located in the United States. This is due to the fact that we use the MailChimp mailing system whose supplier is an American entity. This entity guarantees the confidentiality of data stored in its databases.

Comments

Whenever you decide to leave a comment, we collect your personal data, such as name, e-mail address, IP address and browser information to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are saved on your device (i.e. computer, phone, tablet) while using our Website. They can be read during your next visits on the Website. They are used for statistic, marketing (remarketing) purposes and for proper functioning of the Website.

Usually they are saved for one year. You can manually delete them from your device or configure your browser not to save them at all. It may disrupt using our Website though.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Social Media

We use plugins and other tools provided by social media services such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google and LinkedIN.

When you enter our site containing one of those plugins, your browser will connect to those social media servers administrators. The content of the plugin is served by the service provider directly to your browser and integrated with the website. Thanks to that integration the service providers obtain the information about your browser viewing the site, even if you do not have a profile in that service provider or you are not logged in. Such information (combined with your IP address) is sent by the browser directly to the server of the service provider and stored there (some servers are in the US).

If you are logged in one of the social media sites, that service provider will be able to match your visit to our site to your social media profile.

If you use one of the plugins, eg. click “Like” or “Share”, appropriate information will be sent directly to the server of the service provider and stored there. Moreover, those information will be published in such social medium and will be shown to people that you connected with. The purpose and scope of data collection, processing and usage by the service providers are described in Privacy Policies of the individual serivce providers. Contact information along with your rights and possibilities of changing the properties of collecting your data is also described there.

Please be advised that we use the following technologies to track activities undertaken by you within the Website:

  2. Google Analitycs tracking code – to analyze Website statistics.

Please be advised that we entrust the processing of your personal data to the following entities:

  2. Rocket Science Group // 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 – in order to use the MailChimp mailing system used to send the newsletter.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data

Our domain has an SSL certificate, so that your personal details provided in the forms are sent via a secure connection.
